We got lucky, really lucky when we met sometime four years ago at, you guessed it, a kids birthday party. It’s a funny story; what we thought was sneaking away for a quick smoke, ended up being a fun day followed by nappies, sugar rushed kids and some tequila. Ok, there was some wine too.

Over the years we have grown to become pillars of strength for the tough times, shoulders to cry on and the wisdom we have shared as we navigated through the emotions of preschool graduation, the first day of Grade 1, a wedding, an engagement, a worldwide pandemic, welcoming 3 new babies to the world, lockdown homeschooling and some other stuff in between.

And now, we welcome you to The Vent, a convo between friends.

We don’t want to play pretend, the world wants us to be sweet and we are giving them sour. They say, girls, don’t talk back just be quiet, you’re good at that. But we believe that all the women in the world were meant to be loud and authentic! This podcast series is for the women of the world, who refuse to be quiet. With the beat of our own drums, come join our masterclass, we follow our own rules – so go and kiss our hands!

Why The Vent?

Did you ever have a conversation with someone who misunderstood everything you had to say?

It’s exhausting, and the ironic part is that the more you try and explain yourself, the more mixed up things become. Your best friend knows when you’re kidding, venting, and tired. He or she knows you and therefore doesn’t read into the things you say, but rather, how it’s being said and where it’s coming from (which is usually from a place of love).

We have found such validation in just being around each other and finding different perspectives for our situations. We have also found that our perceptions of each other are far from how we perceive ourselves and this channel, we believe, will resonate with many out there.
